about this event
Grok Bot Community Engineering London Hackathon — Build community infrastructure, 20x better.
An evening AI Hackathon for community engineers, DevRels, organisers and builders, where Grok Bot and Cursor are the builders. Grok Bot holds the context and Cursor ships the code. Point them at a real community problem and build tooling that's 10x–20x better than what exists today.
Build a bot that knows every channel you're in. Build a collab engine between communities. Build the event stack. Build something we haven't seen before. Live demos. Ship fast. Real communities. 🤌
What You'll Build: tooling that helps communities find members, collab, run events and stay active. Some ideas — acquisition tooling; a collab engine between communities; the event stack; activation from what members actually say and do; an event from idea to live page. Or something outside the usual categories: anything only possible when bots that know your whole community write the code. Work solo or in teams of up to 5.
Partners & Sponsors — Venue Partner: Expedite, made possible by William Schulz. Technology Partners: Supabase, connection: Isabelle Roser; Cognee, connection: Veljko Kovac; Zero, connection: Mariia Nedelkina; SpaceXAI (Grok Bot), connection: Francisco Terpolilli, EU Ambassador; Cursor, connection: Francisco Terpolilli, EU Ambassador. Tracks: tracks are revealed on the night. Expect themes around growing communities, bringing them together, running great events and keeping members engaged, plus room for the weird stuff. More tracks and sponsor prize buckets to be announced.
Demo Format: every team submits a working demo at code freeze. The Top 5 teams present live, 3 minutes each. Judges will award 1st Place: 3 months Cursor Ultra per person + Supabase credits; 2nd Place: 2 months Cursor Ultra per person + Supabase credits; 3rd Place: 1 month Cursor Ultra per person + Supabase credits. Judging Criteria: technical execution; how much Grok Bot and Cursor architected it; use of community context; 10x–20x improvement over today's tooling; real-world usefulness; demo quality.
