Rebuild Private Markets: The Ylookup x Encode AI Hackathon. Private markets still run on spreadsheets, PDFs and endless back-and-forth. On 5-6 September, Ylookup and Encode are bringing together 100 builders at Encode Hub to change that. Teams will compete across two tracks: push an AI model to generate complex Excel formulas, or build a new product around real problems faced by fund managers. Builders will get anonymised industry data, live user interviews and access to mentors, then turn their idea into a working product over one weekend.
What to expect: Mentor office hours; Live fund-manager interviews; Research and product tracks; Application-based, with teams of up to four. Throughout the hack, individuals and teams that demonstrate exceptional ability may be given the chance to interview for a role at Ylookup. All participants will receive free credits to build their projects during the hackathon. Selected teams will have an investor pitch opportunity with EQT Ventures and interviews at Ylookup. The winning team will receive prizes worth $2,000 in total.
Who it's for: Engineers, builders and data people - anyone who's ever had to wrangle messy documents into something clean. Come with a team or find one on the day.
