Regional AI & Automation Hackathon
about this event
A unique opportunity for employers and leaders to engage with emerging talent and future public sector innovation.
You're invited to the region's first Public Sector AI & Automation Hackathon 2026! This event is all about empowering young people to tackle real public service challenges using innovation and tech. With expert coaching, participants will build AI-powered solutions and pitch their ideas straight to local authorities, employers, and leaders who can help bring them to life.
This is a great chance to see how fresh talent teams up with public sector organisations to create innovative solutions that improve services, strengthen communities, and help shape the future of local government.
You'll also have the opportunity to hear directly from participating teams as they showcase their ideas and prototypes, demonstrating how AI and automation can be applied to real-world public sector challenges.
Following the presentations, there will be dedicated networking time, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with employers, local authorities, education providers, technology partners, and other stakeholders from across the region. Attendees will be able to exchange ideas, share best practice, explore potential partnerships, discuss common challenges, and identify future opportunities for collaboration on digital transformation and AI initiatives.
Whether you're looking to expand your professional network, discover innovative approaches, or build new relationships that support regional growth and innovation, the networking session will be a valuable part of the event.
Why attend? You'll get to: discover the skills of the region's emerging workforce; engage directly with young innovators tackling real challenges; support future talent pipelines in digital, AI, and automation; explore practical ideas to enhance local services and impact communities; and show your commitment to youth, innovation, and regional growth.
Your presence means a lot — it encourages and highlights the next generation of innovators and shows them what's possible right here in our region. Hope to see you there!
